  All faculty and students interested in disciplines in the area of Business Administration are encouraged to submit papers and proposals for possible presentation.


All faculty and students interested in disciplines in the area of Business Administration are encouraged to submit papers and proposals for symposia or workshops to the identified Area Program Chairs by October 15, 2007, to be reviewed for possible presentation at the April 2008 MBAA International Meetings in Chicago.

WHEN: Panel discussions and paper presentations begin: 1:30 pm - Wednesday, April 2, 2008
Conference concludes: 4:15 pm - Friday, April 4, 2008

Guidelines

 

  1. A letter of transmittal must include the following information for each author: (a) position, (b) affiliation, (c) mailing address, (d) telephone and fax numbers, and (e) e-mail address.
  2. Please make your submission in accordance with instructions provided by each professional division program chair. In the absence of specific instructions please make your sumbission via e-mail. Name(s) of the author(s) and address(es) must be on a detachable form page. The manuscript MUST contain no reference to the authors.
  3. Do NOT send your paper to more than one division chair for review. If you are uncertain about where to send your proposal, mail it to Linda Knight, MBAA International 2008 General Program Chair, Associate Dean, DePaul University, School of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Systems, 243 S. Wabash Avenue, Chicago IL 60604 by October 15, 2007. If you have any questions about submitting your paper, please contact Linda Knight lknight@cti.depaul.edu. Papers must NOT have been presented elsewhere before the 2008 Chicago meeting or be under consideration by other conferences or journals.
  4. Each paper will be at least double blind refereed.
  5. Author(s) must register for the conference and at least one author must attend the meetings in Chicago to make a presentation of the paper. Also, everyone who attends the annual meeting must register for the conference.

Distinguished Papers & Awards

One meritorious paper from each of the twelve formal organizations is recognized as the Distinguished Paper sponsored by Richard D. Irwin, Inc. A plaque is awarded to each Distinguished Paper author. Also, many of the MBAA International organizations present their own Best Paper as well as Service Recognition Awards.

2008 Conference Theme

The 2008 Conference Theme is “Focus on Change: Succeeding in a Global Environment”. There will be several sessions dedicated to this theme.

The MBAA International informally facilitates an employment market for colleges and faculty members interested in recruiting or searching for a job.

Publisher Booths

Publishers display textbooks, supplements, and other courseware throughout the conference.

MBAA International International Hospitality Suite

MBAA International International hosts a hospitality suite for its members and guests. Beverages and snacks are served on Wednesday, April 2nd, and on Thursday, April 3rd, at the conclusion of the evening's activities. Further information is provided at the conference.
